Dr. Manu Chandaria OBE CBS EBS
Manu Chandaria, OBE CBS EBS, is Founding Chairman of the East African Business Council and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, an umbrella body representing over two hundred sectors and organizations. He is a member of the Private Sector Advisory Council and Patron in Africa for Global Peace Foundation, He has been appointed and served on numerous government boards and committees, including Chairman of the Street Families Rehabilitation Trust Fund, set up to improve the lives of children and families who live on the street. He has been on the Nairobi University Council Board for 25 years representing Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund. In 2003 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II conferred an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in recognition of his community work and promotion of Kenyan economic interests. His Excellency Hon. Mwai Kibaki, Former President of the Republic of Kenya, distinguished him with the honor of Elder of the Burning Spear (EBS) in 2003 in recognition of outstanding service to the nation. On 12th December 2015 His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta conferred on him the honour of The First Class: Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS).
Appointed Chancellor of Technical University of Kenya in 2013 Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of United States International University (USIU) and current Chancellor of USIU. Brief Corporate Profile of Mr. Frank Brako Adu
Mr. Frank Adu Jnr. is the Managing Director of CAL Bank Limited with approximately 27 years’ experience in the Ghanaian banking sector. Frank is the Chairman of the Board of the Roman Ridge School, a very successful international school he co-founded and serves on the Advisory Board of the College of Humanities of the University of Ghana. He is a member of the Boards of the Foundation for Orthopaedics and Complex Spine, Metropolitan Life Ghana Limited and Quality Insurance Company Limited. He also serves on the Board of Legacy Bond Limited, a special purpose vehicle set up for the repayment of debt owed by Government to the Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs). He co-founded City Investments Company Limited, a highly successful Non-Bank Financial Institution which is now Premium Bank. He has also served on several other Boards including the National Health Insurance Council where he was its first Chairman; he was Chairman of the Ghana Stock Exchange and a member of Ghana’s First Bond Committee and the Advisory Committees which set up the EDIF Fund and GET Fund.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Geography and an MBA (Finance). In 2013, Frank was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the University of Ghana for his contribution to tertiary education. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and also an alumni of the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme, SAID Business School, University of Oxford.
Frank’s passion is in assisting destitute children and helping to create a bright future for them. He is an entrepreneur and plays a major role in youth development in Ghana. He mentors several young people and is an active Patron of Waves International, a group of University graduates and undergraduates who seek to progress professionally and make positive impacts in society. Additionally, as a member of the Ghana Angel Investor Network (GAIN), Frank invests in business ideas of young entrepreneurs who would otherwise have limited access to equity financing.
He is an avid sportsman and has distinguished himself in all sporting activity including football, field hockey, volleyball, handball, squash, cricket, polo and now golf. Mr. Adu has captained the Achimota Golf Club and the Accra Polo Club.
Frank was awarded a lifetime award at the 2016 Ghana Banking Awards and has also been recognised by the Legislative Black Caucus of the Georgia Assembly for his contribution to the macro-economic stability, growth and prosperity of African countries. He was also a finalist of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2012 and has also received several awards including the Ghana Oil & Gas Association award for a “Promising Leadership Role” in the Industry.

Mrs Mukwandi Chibesakunda : A Profile in Leadership Excellence
Mrs Mukwandi Chibesakunda was appointed as the first female Chief Executive Officer at National Savings and Credit (NATSAVE) Bank in January 2018. Having been the first female President of the Zambia Institute of Banking and Finance, Mrs Chibesakunda hails with wide experience in various Financial Service Industry roles.
Her career journey began as a Graduate Associate in Standard Chartered Bank, rising through the ranks to management and directorship roles for an overall timeframe exceeding 15 years. During her illustrious career, she has also held various executive roles at Stanbic Bank, Access Bank and the Bank of Zambia. She has also been Non Executive Board Member of the Zambia Revenue Authority, Vision Fund, and The Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism.
She is currently Board Committee Member of The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board, The Livestock Development Trust Board, The Strategic Committee of the Mulungushi Conference Centre, and The CDC Africa List in Zambia.

BIOGRAPHY
Tewolde GebreMariam began his career at Ethiopian Airlines in 1985. He served in different capacities in the cargo traffic handling department and progressed up the ladder to Manager Cargo Traffic Handling. He was appointed as Regional Director for India and South East Asia based in Bombay and later on transferred to Jeddah as Area Manager for Saudi Arabia. When Ethiopian Airlines commenced direct services to the USA, he was appointed as Area Sales Manager for North East USA and Canada based in New York.
On August 16 2004 he was appointed as Executive Officer Marketing & Sales to head the Marketing and Sales Operations of Ethiopian. On July 1, 2006, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Ethiopian to head all the operating divisions of the airline
Commercial, Flight Operations, Customer Services and Maintenance and Engineering. Since January 1, 2011 he has been serving as Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.
In his CEO role, Mr. Tewolde has been a multiple award winner. In November, 2012, he won “The African CEO of the Year-2012”award from the African CEO Forum organized jointly by Jeune Afrique and the African Development Bank in Geneva.
In December 2012, he won “ The Best African Business Leader” award from the Washington D.C. based Corporate Council on Africa, which promotes trade and investment ties between the USA and Africa.
In July 2013, he became the first African Airline CEO to receive “The Airline Strategy Award for Regional Leadership” in the award’s 12 year history. The Award is given out annually by Airline Business Magazine, a publication of Flight Global , the world’s leading aviation media brand. In November 2013, he won the 2013 “planet Africa professional Excellence Award ”.
In December 2015, Mr. Tewolde, won “Most Gender Focused CEO Award 2015” from the Leading Women of Africa (LWA).
Ethiopian Group CEO is awarded Gold Medal by Ethiopian Airlines Board of Directors for his exceptional leadership, dedication and hard work, which have enabled Ethiopian to register outstanding performance as per its fast, profitable and sustainable growth strategy Vision 2025.
Ethiopian Group CEO is awarded a plaque for his exceptional leadership and the successful accomplishments towards Vision 2025 from Ethiopian Airlines Basic Trade Union.
Ethiopian Group CEO received the 2015 International Grand Prix Special Award in Milan. The recognition was for his achievements in developing the Airline into the foremost aviation group in Africa and for spearheading the transformation of Ethiopian into becoming one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.
In addition to his duties as CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, he serves as a member on the High-level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport (HLAG-ST) with United Nations and serves as Chief Executive Board member of Star Alliance. He also serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA); and an Executive Committee member of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA); and a Board member of the Airlink Advisory Council; a member of Board of Directors of Africa Travel Association (ATA); a Board Member of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia; and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Tourism Organization (ETO).
He earned his B.A. Degree in Economics from the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Open University in the United Kingdom.
